ADMISSION PROCEDURE

In Andhra Pradesh, for admission to the professional course like B.Tech, B.Sc (Agri), B.D.S., B.Pharm, the Govt. of A.P, conducts an entrance exam called EAMCET every year in the month of April/May. The students are given ranking based on the marks obtained in the test and percentage of marks at intermediate level or 10 + 2 level.
Admissions are conducted in a systematic manner by means of web counseling based on the rank by convener EAMCET. Thus opportunity is given to the student to choose the course and college. 70% of seats are filled through the EAMCET rank and 30% seats are filled by the management based on the merit at Intermediate (with minimum 45% of marks).

SCHEDULE OF ADMISSION

Convenor (General) Quota: Category -A

Usually the admissions by the EAMCET convener start in July/Aug. and close by Sep/Oct every year. After the counseling, the left over seats shall be filled by the colleges through spot admission procedures.

Management Quota : Category- B

The rules & regulations for management Quota are announced by APSCHE ( Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education) every year.

FEE

AP State Govt.reviews the tuition & other fee every 3 years or as the case may be for every college. AP State Govt. has notified Fee Rs.74,000/- per year for Category-A & Category-B seats (Students admitted in the year of 2013-14) for G.Pulla Reddy College of Pharmacy.The fee can be paid in two installments in a year, during the start of the semester. However, special fee of Rs. 5,500/-for first year and Rs.2,500/- for subsequent years, is common for both the categories.

CURRICULUM & SYLLABUS

The University Board of Studies in Pharmacy notifies the academic calendar. The Board of Studies in Pharmacy of Osmania University decides the syllabus and the syllabus is reviewed as and when it is necessary . The present syllabus is effective from 2003-04 academic year with minor changes in between.
