B.Pharm

B. Pharm is a four year degree course. This course is designed to give knowledge and experimental skills regarding all aspects of drugs. This course comprises various subjects to give the knowledge and practical skills regarding the synthesis/extraction of drugs, formulation of drugs into various dosage forms like tablets, capsules injections etc, analysis of drugs and dosage forms, testing of drugs and dosage forms on animals / human volunteers and the legal requirements for manufacture and sale of drugs and dosage forms by a company and discovery of new drugs and dosage forms.

Admission Procedure

For admission to the professional course like B.Tech, B.Sc (Agri) & B.Pharm, the State Government, conducts an entrance exam called TSEAMCET every year in the month of April/May. The students are given ranking based on the marks obtained in the test and percentage of marks at intermediate level or 10 + 2 level . Both MPC & BiPC groups are eligible. Admissions are conducted by the Convener TSEAMCET in a systematic manner by means of web counseling, based on the combined rank obtained in the TSEAMCET. Thus opportunity is given to the student to choose the course and college. 70% of seats are filled through the TSEAMCET rank by the Convener and 30% seats are filled by the management, based on rank in TSEAMCET or the merit at Intermediate or as per the State government prescribed rules from time to time.

After the counseling, the left over seats shall be filled by the colleges through spot admission according to the rules prescribed by the State Government.

Management Quota : Category- B

The Management Seats (Category-B) are filled by the Management as per the schedule and rules prescribed by the State Govrnment.

B.Pharm. PCI Standard Inspection Format (SIF)

M.Pharm

M. Pharm is a two year Post Graduate course. This course is designed to give a comprehensive and advanced knowledge and experimental skills regarding all aspects of drugs. This course comprises various subject specializations - Pharmaceutics,Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacology,Ph.Chemistry , Ph.Regulatory Affairs & Others ( Total 12 specializations as per PCI M.Pharm Curriculum)

The first year comprises of two semesters course work , The second year is also two semesters research project work . At the end of fourth semester the project work will be submitted in the form of thesis to the respecive university .

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

For admission to the professional course like M.Tech, M.Arch & M.Pharm, the State Government, conducts an entrance exam called TSPGECET every year in the month of May/ June. The students are given ranking based on the marks obtained in the test . Admissions are conducted by the Convenor TSPGECET in a systematic manner by means of web counseling, based on the rank obtained in GPAT and for the remaining seats based on the TSPGECET rank. Thus opportunity is given to the student to choose the course specialisation and college. 70% of seats are filled through the GPAT and TSPGECET ranks by the Convener and 30% seats are filled by the management, based on the merit at TSPGECET / B.Pharm as per the State government prescribed rules from time to time.

Pharm.D

Pharm.D is a Six year course. This course is approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and introduced in the year 2008 in India . Pharm.D is aimed to give thorough knowledge & skills for pharmacy practice in India . The course is oriented towards the patient safety & therapeutic benefits . The curriculum includes five years of theoretical and practical exposure in pharmacy college and hospital and last(final) year is total internship in the hospital.

Ph.D

 The college is recognized as Research Centre by Osmania University to do Ph.D course in Pharmacy subjects.

There are five Doctorate Professors who are recognized as Ph.D supervisors by Osmania University. They are also recognized by JNTUH and many other universities to guide Ph.D
 
Admission & Procedure:  The admission into Ph.D (Full Time & Part Time) is done by the Osmania University,  The university conducts an entrance test called “Ph.D Entrance Exam” every year or once in two years depending upon the vacancies available & other reasons. The Ph.D entrance exam qualified candidates will be called for interview by the “Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, University College of Technology,Osmania University”. In the interview the academics & students performance are recorded and merit list is prepared and following the rules of reservation. The Ph.D admission committee finalizes the list of candidates depending upon vacancies available with the recognized supervisors. The list of selected candidates will be send to the University for Approval.
